There is a great wave of changes coming over the next decade to computing and communications products of all types. These changes will benefit users by increasing the ease of use, portability, familiarity, and reducing the cost of all manner of technology devices.

There is a small group of rapidly evolving technologies driving the coming changes, including web standards based software, multitouch displays, powerful yet inexpensive microprocessors, and software defined radio. DotPad acknowledges the importance of these technologies and embraces them in our forward strategy.

The future is one where computing and communications devices are converged, where web apps are the application software, and where radio functions and features are defined in software. These multitouch user interface products will be, essentially, blank slates, upon which software will define features and functions. This will permit fewer products to serve many more purposes, increasing manufacturing run rates per product, reducing component and assembly costs, streamlining support costs, reducing end user prices while increasing gross profit margins for manufacturers. It will empower the world's web developers to adopt the platform and provide a flood of exciting, useful apps. It will add value for end users in both consumer and commercial markets by enabling one device to deliver many different features and functions.

This is the future DotPad intends to lead.

DotPad, Inc. is in stealth mode at this time, so no information about our company or project is available to the general public. We will be announcing our project in early 2011. So, stay tuned.
